You must demonstrate that you have a deep understanding of the topic, not just a superficial surface view. This will be clear from the language you use, the discussion you provide, and your examples. This is quite a subjective matter and will require some reflection on your part.

Content Width: 

The project must draw on wide reading, and on a wide variety of course materials, essentially you must take the opportunity to demonstrate how much you have learned. It must all be relevant though, to avoid including irrelevant material, read and re-read the title and instruction, make sure you have covered every issue, perhaps every word. The title was carefully chosen, and the instruction is carefully written and will be used to grade the assignment.

Integration / initiative:

The project/essay should have an introduction and a conclusion. Between these two, each new point made should be made in a new paragraph/section. The paragraphs/sections (the train of thought) should flow in a logical way, each point made leading on to the next. Where you are required to consult the literature, make observations, your findings from these three sources must be integrated. This will mean that you need to put some thought into the structure and layout.

Summary/Conclusion

The conclusion is an essential part of any piece of communication. It is necessary to succinctly re-state the main points and to concisely state what conclusion can be drawn from these points. It is critical that this is clearly written.
