You are a trainee in PGD firm of accountants. You and one of the directors meet with a new client, David Grogan. David is originally from Dublin but has been employed in the UK for the last 10 years by a UK company which provides office accommodation. David has returned to Ireland and has set up a company in Ireland, DG Ltd, which will provide similar office accommodation services here under the brand name of the UK company. DGL will be charged a monthly franchise fee by the UK company for the use of the brand name. David has just completed negotiations for the acquisition of an old warehouse that is to be refurbished for use by DGL.
