1. (a) Write a bash script to create a menu as follows:

1. List files

2. Show free disk space

3. Show system path

4. Display command history

5. Backup files

6. Exit

Selecting “1” will list all files in the current directory

Selecting “2” will show the free disk space available

Selecting “3” will show the current path

Selecting “4” will show the command history

Selecting “5” will recursively backup files from a specified directory and all its sub-directories (the user should type in the name of the directory), to a newly created directory called BackupFolder; and then list the contents of this directory

Selecting “6” will exit the script

If a user selects anything other than 6 (exit), the menu should be presented to the user again. Ensure this script can be executed from any directory on your system.

2. This question requires you to create a series of pages of puzzles related to operating systems.

Puzzles can include:

1. Join the dots

2. Spot the difference

3. Character posters and profiles

4. Word searches

5. Crosswords

6. Boardgame

Thus each person is required to develop at least one two-page set of puzzles, with a minimum of one puzzle per two pages.  Additionally one page of solutions.

Accompanying this two-pager, each person will include a page in their submission with the following sections;

a)  The introduction explaining the pages you developed (At least 3 sentences)

b) Review of the research you identified relevant to your topics – did you look at websites, white papers, books, etc. (At least 3 sentences)

c) Rationale for your puzzles (At least 3 sentences)

d) Reflective section where you discuss how long it took you to complete the project and what you thought about it. (At least 3 sentences)

e) Concluding Remarks (At least 1 sentence)
