Brief: Project The student is required to carry out a child study of a child who is currently going through the implementation process of an individual education plan (IEP) of an individual behavior plan (IBP) or who already has an IEP/IBP in place. This study should include:

• A clear definition of the child’s special need

• An explanation of the staged approach of the IEP/IBP, which can include curriculum adaptation and identifying the purpose of assessments

• A detailed explanation of use of observations before assessments are conducted

• A copy of the IEP/IBP if possible

• The age profile of the child

• The setting in which the child/adult is taking part • The team involved in the IEP/IBP

• Information regarding any Special Needs Assistant (SNA) assigned to the child/adult and the SNA’s input and involvement with the implementation of the plan
