The purpose of this document is to provide direction and support to both learner and supervisor.

Arising from the fact that this process forms a significant element of the assessment process leading to a Level 9 Award, we have implemented a degree of flexibility to the rules and procedures to reflect the independent work ethic that we expect from Dissertation candidates. We offer an outline of how a typical supervisor/student relationship might unfold and suggest the minimum number of meetings to ensure effective and efficient supervision.
