A number of researchers have stressed the benefits and opportunities of project management integration, and several frameworks have been proposed combining schedule and cost control data. Moreover, the interdependency between cost and schedule is evident since both are closely correlated and share common data like quantities, budget, and resources.

The successful completion of the project requires suitable planning, risk management, and cost management systems, among other factors that must be observed before starting a project. Cost management begins with quantification, which is tedious and takes a lot of time. Generally, companies use manual processes with a probability of high human errors. Using computer-based and digital technologies enables project managers to make more effective decisions.
