Critical Analysis Paper (2500 words)
Public Inclusion in Research Design and Implementation
Purpose of the Assignment:
The purpose of this assignment is to describe and analyse the characteristics and challenges of public inclusion in research design and implementation. Support your writing with references to the scientific literature and, where appropriate, use examples of public and patient involvement in projects.
For the purpose of this assignment, Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) in research is defined as research being carried out with or by members of the public rather than to, about, or for them (NIHR, n.d.). The term ‘Public’ in its definition includes patients, potential patients, carers, people who use health and social care services, as well as persons from organisations that represent people who use services (Smits et al., 2020).
This paper should be a maximum of 2500 words, excluding references. Below are the sources referred to in the assignment guidelines. Your assignment will require you to read broadly around the topic, and you must provide at least 10 references.
