NS458 Research Enquiry – research related to a specific area of clinical practice

Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to allow you to demonstrate your ability to actively engage with the research related to a specific area of clinical practice relevant to your branch of nursing.

Assignment Requirements
Specifically, you are required to –

• Identify an issue related to clinical practice
• This can relate to a variety of factors for example: Patient / Clients; Nurses; the work environment; the delivery of care etc. but it must be demonstrably related to the practice of nursing
• Develop a research question related to your chosen issue
• Develop a search strategy based upon your research question
•  Search and critically analyse the relevant literature related to your topic
• Summarise the literature through a discussion
• Make recommendations for (1) practice and (2) further research related to your topic
