• Intellectual Property Protection:

What Intellectual Property instrument could you use to protect your design? Describe this instrument as it would apply to your product. Outline the resources you would need to secure this instrument. Use the material in Lecture 8 of your module notes to guide you through the design process.

• Marketing/Sales Plan

Include your marketing and sales plan here. Describe the channels that you will use to sell the product. What marketing and advertising ploys will you use to get your product off the shelf to the customer? Describe how you would finance a business venture to get your product to the market stage. What product launch strategy would you undertake for your new product?

• Final Design Solution

Present detailed labeled sketches and drawings of your final design. Reflect back on the early stages of the design process you undertook and describe one design change you would make to your product so that it could be more easily manufactured. See Lecture 10 Notes. Include a half-page summary in this section outlining how your product differs from a competitor’s products in the marketplace.
