This has never been more evident than during Covid in frontline healthcare. Edgar Schein suggests “That the only thing of real importance that leaders do is to create and manage culture”.

1. Describe the prevalent culture present in your own organisation, workplace. This can be at any point in your professional healthcare career.

2. Analyse the main characteristics of that culture and interpret the effect this culture is having on the current performance of the organisation and its ability to change

3. Outline a plan to improve the culture and employee engagement within your own workplace/organisation.

• The typed Case Study must be submitted through Canvas on the due date
• The purpose of this Case Study is to encourage synthesis between the module learning, professional experience and independent learning, to deepen the learning experience
• The Case Study should have a short introduction, followed by your exploration of the topic and finish with a conclusion or summary which encapsulates your main points
• Write clear, simple sentences in your own words
• Develop your points using examples where appropriate
• Ensure that any quotes are referenced (Harvard Referencing system)
• The Case Study must be typed using font 12, Arial, double line spaced, clearly structured, 1200 words, exclusive of references
