Imagine that we are in the middle of a pandemic again. The organism that is driving this pandemic is a species of bacteria. Researchers have been able to isolate this bacterium and sequence the genome of this bacteria.

How will you about characterizing this bacterium so that your efforts will eventually lead to the development of drugs that will target this bacterium and kill it? Please try to put together all the ideas and concepts you have learned so far.
