If you have not had the experience in leading, you can choose to analyze a well-known leader of your choice drawing on leadership theory in presenting your argument. Choose a well-known leader who has faced a specific leadership challenge e.g. Business Challenge/Change, Business Crisis, Professional Crisis, Personal Crisis…..Analyze their leadership style according to at least one theory of leadership. Analyze the situation/challenge; the leadership style demonstrated by the leader in dealing with this challenge (provide examples to illustrate) and make recommendations about what could be done to solve the problems using the course concepts. The Profile can be formatted in any way you like but should include the following components:

• Describe – What is the challenge/problem faced by the leader? Be sure to provide the context (background) of the leader/organization.
• Analyze – How did the leader meet the challenge? What was their leadership style in doing so? Was this style effective? If not, what style may have been more effective? Why? This is where you draw on the course material – what theories/research studies are most relevant? Analyze the leader’s performance using relevant and appropriate material. This may include magazines, newspapers, biographies, etc when presenting a profile of the leader.
