The purpose of this assignment is to build upon the work done on CA1 and develop an evaluation plan which clearly explains the methodology that will be used to monitor the project’s implementation process and quantifies the benefits of your proposed health project.

It will also address how to report on the effectiveness, outcomes, and added value of the project. In CA1 you conducted a rapid critical appraisal of 4 papers to justify the rationale for your project and provided an evidence base for whether similar previous health/ social projects/interventions/evaluations addressed needs and provided good outcomes.

Assignment Task

Develop an evaluation plan for your proposed health project addressing the following headings

Part A- Background to your hypothetical project

• Name of your health intervention e.g. The PACT study
  3 Aims of the project
• A brief overview of project participants’ profiles – age, health condition,
•  Location – national, local, CHO, etc?
• What health or social care setting will the intervention be delivered in e.g. community setting, outpatient, hospital -what unit? remotely through eHealth
  initiative etc.
• Timeframe for the health intervention project, is it a pilot or main study?

Part B- Determine the purpose of the evaluation

• List all stakeholders involved e.g. patients, carers, clinicians, healthcare professionals and providers, policymakers, advocacy organizations, researchers, funders, etc.
• Explain how you will consult and engage with stakeholders e.g. focus groups, interviews, surveys.
•  Identify the audience for your evaluation.
