- Book Review/Film Review/Case Note . Deadline: April 10, 5 pm.
The idea behind the review is to adopt the critical lenses of a legal scholar in examining an environmental or regulatory subject. The subject could have an academic or non-academic flavour. So it would be fine to opt to review a non-fiction book/case/report by an organisation on an environmental issue or even highlight how environmental issues are ignored in an authoritative publication. Students may also review fiction, but then the review must tease out what the author is trying to say (or has the luxury to avoid saying) about a non-fiction world.
Around 2500 – 3000 words would be great.
It is likely that a book you’re interested in reviewing would be available in the library.
I would, however, recommend students to purchase the subject of review. If you intimately read a work, it is good to have this item in your collection. If you find that placing an order for a book online is cumbersome, you could review an article or a case.
