Create a proposal and financial plan for ‘the creation of’ or ‘transition to’ an EV Servicing Business.

Task Specifics
Identify an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) related company embarking on the transition to Electric Vehicles (EV) and assess their current method of operation. With the aid of a financial spreadsheet, project the investment required in terms of facilities, equipment, technical knowledge, staffing and financing to make a complete transition to EV. Provide a written assignment of approximately 10 pages and provide a 3 minute supporting presentation outlining your proposal.

Notes:

• Select a business/organisation for which you might be able to access enough data to construct a ‘high level’ profit and loss sheet, and a balance sheet
• The focus can be on:
  o a fictious business with a sole trader or a number of employees
  o an ICE fleet transition to EV, justifying the investment and breakeven
• A smaller business is recommended since this will entail less variable
• Review all notes provided for significant points of consideration to be made
• Aim for approximately 10 pages including Excel tables, illustrations, and diagrams
• It would be helpful to view this document as the preparation for a ‘Dragons Den’ type exercise
• Consult ‘Appendix A’ for further hints on constructing a Project Proposal Document.
