The primary general textbook for the course is
Neville Cox, Val Corbett, Mark Connaughton Employment Law in Ireland (Clarus Press, 2nd edition, 2022).
In addition, however, in various sections of the course I will be recommending readings from Ailbhe Murphy and Maeve Regan, ed, Employment Law (Bloomsbury Professional, 2nd edition, 2017) and, in particular Desmond Ryan, Redmond on Dismissal Law, Third Edition (Bloomsbury Professional, 2017). I would also strongly recommend that you read the ‘Employment Law’ Chapters in the various Annual Review(s) of Irish Law.
The primary specialist journal to which you will be referred is the Irish Employment Law Journal which, happily, is available to you online through westlaw.ie on the Library’s website. This journal, published four times each year, is particularly useful because in each edition there is a section called ‘Legislative Developments’ (and another one called European Developments) which provide cutting edge insights into the most recent employment law issues.
