- The general role of the SNA as laid out by the DES and a discussion of how the role adapts in relation to the individual needs of the student(s) in the care of the SNA
- The qualities and skills required to work with children with disabilities. Discuss the special attributes of an effective SNA
- Knowledge of relevant legislation associated with disability, to include a discussion on the rights of the child in the learning context.
