Skills demonstration on activity within a care setting with addresses a number of key learning outcomes. You are required to complete a comprehensive report on activity within the care setting.

This activity will involve planning, implementing recording and reporting an activity undertaken with a group of clients or client in the care setting.

List of Activities:

• Arts and Crafts
• Reminiscence therapy
• Music session
• Songs session
• Cookery session
• Or the activity can also be a social activity i.e. outing to the shops, garden centre, to a social function, to the zoo etc.
• Or any other activity carried out in the care setting

Your assignment will be assessed on the following:

1. Through organisation and preparation of the task, including identification of patients’ needs
2. Careful execution of the task
3. Effective communication throughout the task
4. Effective use of relevant safety and health practices
5. A comprehensive record of the task

Construct your report under the following headings:

1. Introduce the client you are going to be working with providing relevant background information.
2. Preparation for task {to include client preparation, environment, materials, equipment, staff, transport, consultation with manager and consent obtained from client and manager}
3. How did you determine the level of assistance that the client would require? {Reference to a care plan, Activities of living}
