Safety Audit Assignment Instructions
Overview
The students with reference to the Health and Safety Act 2005 will carry out a safety audit in their work environment, to include the following:
- Define a hazard and a risk.
- List the duties of employers and employees as specified in current Safety, Health & Welfare at Work legislation.
- Define a Safety Statement and list the elements and functions of the safety statement.
- Describe a specific area in your workplace and carry out a risk assessment outlining three hazards, their risks, and the control procedures put in place for the identified risks. Also include evidence of and principles and procedures of good housekeeping which contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.
Your assignment should include:
- Plan of action
- Recommendations
- Assignment evaluation
Presentation of Evidence
- Introduction/Main Body/Summary/Conclusion/Recommendations/References.
