The analysis should incorporate theory, ethics, supervision, and professional reflective practice, aligning with the Standards of Proficiency for Social Care Workers as outlined by the Social Care Workers Registration Board.

The assignment should cover the following key areas:

1. Organisational Context (Minimum 300 words)

  • Describe the setting in which the social care intervention would take place (e.g., residential care, community-based services, family support, mental health services, etc.).
  • Identify the target population and the specific needs with reference to relevant research of service users within this context.
  • Discuss relevant policies, frameworks, and legislation guiding social care work in this setting.

  • Analyse how familial and social dynamics influence the service user’s experience and therapeutic needs.

3. Therapeutic Intervention Approach (Minimum 700 words)

  • Identify the chosen therapeutic intervention (e.g., Trauma-Focused CBT, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, etc.). Link the intervention to relevant theories and models of practice.
  • Justify the selection of this intervention in relation to the needs of the service user.
