Quality Deployment Function (QFD) is a planning process to guide the design,
manufacturing, and marketing of goods integrating the voice of the customer
throughout an organisation.
The House of Quality is a set of matrixes used to relate the voice of the customer to a
product’s technical requirements, component requirements, process control plans, and
manufacturing operations.
Please use a House of Quality to develop and deploy targets to gain competitive
advantage over the competition. Ideally I would like you to use a product/service
from your own employment for this exercise; it would benefit you and your employer.
But if that proves too problematic please use a generic product.
The voice of the customer is the primary input to the QFD process. For this
assignment three (3) to five (5) customer inputs would suffice. For competitor
evaluation use three (3) to five (5) competitors.
