The purpose of this essay is to encourage students to engage with the critical issues in managing the employment relationship from a Human Resource Management perspective. As a leader how would knowledge of HRM enhance a leader’s managerial knowledge and competence in developing their organisation? [*Note: Elements of organisation development include such areas as organisational culture, capability, values and relationships. ]
When you are thinking about your essay and your school context try to focus on the two or three areas that are most important to you and your school. In general, areas identified in the extant literature on current key HR issues in the Education include:
