Section 1. Learning Needs Analysis
1. How does the organization identify learning needs?
– We have training plans set out for all the roles in the building and then we’ll identify the additional training that’s needed based on how people are getting on with the training that they’re doing.
– Then also we try to do a lot of one-to-one meetings, to see how people are finding things if there’s additional areas that they feel they need training on. If it’s a collective team we feel that there’s additional areas people could use training on.
– But then training within our building, it’s for progression as well as for teaching so there’s some people that we feel “okay well they can actually progress to the nextlevel” and then we try to identify collectively as a management team of people who’ve managed them if we think there’s particular training that would be beneficial for them to be able to kind of take the next step.
– So a lot of it would be due to the one-on-one interactions we have with people and also the feedback they give us.
