b.     Explain how religious differences could affect how you might talk to family members following the death of a loved one.

TASK 2:

TASK 4:

Describe how you would provide care for an older person who is dying and lives alone at home. Their primary symptoms are mild pain and fatigue. Answer using the following headings:

c.     Communication and emotional care

d.     Spiritual care

e.     Caring for families and friends

TASK 5:

a.     Explain ‘end-of-life confusion’.

b.     Prepare a two-page document which would help you have a ‘supportive conversation’ with a person who is confused in the last days of life.

TASK 6

Using the 10-step approach, write out a discussion you could have with someone, with a terminal illness, who has just been told by their GP that their medication is not having the expected effect to treat their illness.
