• Provide an overview of the main Theories of Learning
• Describe how childhood programs and activities can encourage the development of Multiple Intelligences and outline three new activities which you could introduce to enhance each type of intelligence.
• Describe and evaluate five factors (for example play, learning methods, stages of child development, relationships with peers/family/society) that impact the psychological development of the children in the chosen care or development environment.

• Describe and assess different Observation Methods (provide both the advantages and disadvantages) and outline your choice of Observation Methods for this task.
• Select one of the following observation methods and complete a child observation study:
  1. Target Child Observation,
  2. Event Sampling, or
  3. Time Sampling. You must submit the following:
  (a) Signed Observation Cover Sheet,
  (b) Completed typed observation study, and
  (c) Clearly outlined conclusions based on your study.
• a) Devise a set of guidelines on how Observation Studies could be used effectively.
  b) Reflect on the guidelines you devised above in (a) and determine training requirements for yourself / others
• Identify five potential barriers to carrying out effective Observation Studies.
