Introduction

One of these breakthroughs is the concept of vertical and zero-acreage farming, which aims to provide food security while also preserving the environment. However, this concept has been in its infancy for many years, and development has been irregular.

In an effort to deliver a higher agricultural production per square meter of land, attention is increasingly turning to Vertical Farming technologies. However, this phrase has come to encompass a wide range of techniques, ranging from small-scale vegetable and herb growth to massive skyscrapers for commercial agricultural production. This dissertation will address how scientific examination of the potential of Vertical Farming is now limited and will be necessary to help establish its practicality as a strategy to help significantly in global food production.

Vertical Farms could help relieve the unemployment difficulties that plague many metropolitan areas because they require employees to build and maintain their structure. It can also include a network of grocery stores, organic food markets, and cafes, also local distribution and transportation networks that provide chances for a number of additional food-service jobs.  Consumers will feel more confident and at ease knowing where their food comes from a psychological standpoint.

If food was grown locally, residents would not only have access to a year-round supply of nutritious food, but they would also have the certainty that their food was cultivated locally.  Moreover, because transportation demand is limited, pricing would be lower. Because of decreased prices and improved access to nutritious food, the neighborhood’s overall health could improve, lessening the risk of sickness. Employees of the farm can sell their produce directly to people of the community at reasonable prices. According to some reports, farmers can also feel happier selling their produce to people with whom they have long-term ties.
